All canned goods must be in clear name brand jars either quarts or pints. No fancy covers on jar tops. Jars are to have a two-piece ring and flat. Jellies and jams must be in sealed jelly jars with no wax on top and can have the one-piece jelly lid. All canned goods are to be canned after last year’s Tomato Show to the present. Any item entered without a class will be displayed only.
Entries are to be made on Wednesday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the tent behind the Senior Citizens Building. Qualifying exhibitor or participant must be a Fredericktown School District resident who PHYSICALLY LIVES within the district. Exhibitors are allowed one entry per class. Judging will start at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. The tent will be closed during judging. A “Best of Show” will be awarded a rosette ribbon and $10.00. Prize money is to be picked up Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fair Board office. Exhibits must be removed Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Fredericktown Tomato Show is an annual event that takes place in Fredericktown, Ohio the first Wednesday through Saturday after Labor Day.
